Unless of course the car/license plates were stolen which I'm sure was the case. When my 240Z was stolen and recovered, the insurance split between the car and home policies in the same exact manner. I suspect this is due to the car insurance only covering car related damages while personal items go under homeowners since those items are not a permanent part of the car. Dave
